L-Carnitine is produced by the body from the amino acids L-methionine and L-lysine. L-carnitine supports the absorption of fatty acids in the cytoplasm to the mitochondria where they are burned as energy. Furthermore, L-carnitine is an antioxidant. The body's need for carnitine can be greater than its own production capacity so taking it can make up for shortages. Carnitol contains 2g of L-carnitine per ampoule and was supplemented with chromium (contributes to normal blood glucose levels).
Water, L-carnitine, acidifier (E330), flavouring, preservative (E202), Garcinia cambogia Desr. extr. (60% HCA) (=Gambooge), sweeteners (E952, E950, E954), chromium picolinate.
